Bruce NevinBruce Nevin ranked among the finest competitive skiers in the nation. He entered his first competition in 1959. By 1961 he made winning the state 3-event tournament a regular occurence. Until he took his last run in 1987, he was more times than not the overall champion in both the Wisconsin state and Midwest regional tournaments. He is also a past national jump and slalom champion.
Aside from his skiing, Nevin has been an AWSA councilman, American instructor to Sweden, senior driver and regular judge, all of which were influential to the sport of water skiing.
His dedication to the sport continued with organizing, driving and judging multiple tournaments every summer. |
